End of the Year

The last day of school is May 26th and on this day we will be celebrating all of the fun times we have shared this school year. Our end of the year theme is Lights, Camera... Kindergarten! We ask that all boys wear white shirts, black pants and that all girls wear white shirts, black skirts. More information coming later! :)

Reminders

May 7th at 8 a.m. will be our Mother's Day Story Time Tea. Come in, have a seat, and listen to a story just for you. It's Going To Be Perfect!
We will be going on a field trip on May 10th to become familiar with the school setting your children will be entering next year in kindergarten. If you have not yet enrolled your child in a kindergarten program, now is the time.
We have a signup sheet posted for Family Conferences to discuss progress reports. If you cannot make any of the posted times, please let Ms. Carolyn or Ms. Megan know so that we may accomodate your needs.

If you would like to bring any additional white t-shirts for other children to decorate, please place the extra shirts in the Pre-K donation bucket.

Reminders

April 9th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. we will be having our Pre-K Dance in celebration of the one-millionth child entering the Pre-K program. Don't forget to vote for Prince and Princess!

The week of April 19th to the 23rd will be the Week of the Young Child. We will be doing many different things that week to celebrate. We will end the celebration with a Field Day on Friday. We will be decorating shirts to wear for Field Day so please bring in one white t-shirt for your child by April 21st. Make sure your child is dressed for heavy outdoor play for Field Day as all of the events will be outside.

Donations

Next month we will be changing two of our areas in our classroom into a Flower Shop and a Bakery. If you have any measuring cups, whisks, cupcake liner, and seeds that you would care to donate, please place them in the Pre-K donation bucket. Thank you!

Reminders

March 2nd is the birthday of Dr. Seuss; to celebrate we will have a Hat Day on March 5th. Pack a hat to wear all day.

March 10th we will be having Show and Tell, please reference the Parent Handbook section on Toys.

March 16th is Picture Day; we will be taking our class pictures on this day as well.

March 26th we will be having an egg hunt, keep your eyes open for further details!

Spring Break begins at the end of the month, let Ms. Wanda or Ms. Shirley know as soon as possible if you need childcare during this time.

School Closing

With Houston County schools being closed for the day of our Valentine's party, we will move doing our Valentine exchange and other activities to Monday February 22. Everyone stay safe and have a wonderful Winter Break!

Valetines

On February 12th we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in our classroom.
Before the party we will have a valentine swap so that everyone can pass out their cards to their fellow students.
If you plan on participating, please make sure you bring enough Valentine’s for everyone.
We have twenty students in our class and we would like for all of them to feel involved.

Donations

Next month will be Dr Seuss’ birthday! If you have any gently used books of any kind that you would care to donate, please place them in the Pre-K donation bucket. Thank you!

Reminders

Pre-K B will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in the classroom and make time available to distribute Valentine’s cards. We will also be having a party at 2:00 on February 12th. There is a signup sheet at the class entrance for all who wish to bring something.

We will be out of school February 15th to February 19th. If you need childcare during that time please let Ms. Wanda or Ms. Shirley know as soon as possible so that they may accommodate you.

February 26th we will be having an Ice Cream Day. We will have lots of fun with ice cream and we invite everyone to dress as their favorite flavor or topping!

Donations

Next month we will be changing two of our play areas into a laundromat and a fruit/vegetable stand. If you have any was clothes, old irons, empty laundry detergent, empty fabric softener, or diet scales that you would not mind allowing the class to us, please feel free to donate them.

Reminders

January 11th to the 15th we invite all parents or other family members to share your favorite fairy tale with the class. We have a sign-up sheet posted at the classroom entrance for all who are interested to come and read to us.

Thank you to all who donated pennies for Jar Wars! Between the two classrooms we were able to donate over $110 for Toys for Tots!
