Donations

Next month we will be changing two of our play areas into a fairy tale and a shoe store. If you have any shoes, boots, sandals, high heels, or costumes that you would not mind allowing the class to use, please feel free to donate them.

Reminders

Parent Conferences will be held from December 10th until December 17th, if you have not already signed up for a time, please do so. If any of the times cannot fit into your schedule please let Ms. Carolyn or Ms. Megan know so that we may work with you to go over your child's progress report.

We will be having a Holiday Party in the classroom, keep your eyes open for further notice on when we will be hosting this.

We will be out of school from December 19th until January 5th. If you need childcare during that time please let Ms. Wanda or Ms. Shirley know as soon as possible so that they may accommodate your needs.

Next month we will be changing two of our play areas into a gift shop and a bank. If you have any gift bags, gift wrap, ribbons, coin wrapper, or Indian corn that you would not mind allowing the class to use, please feel free to donate them.

Reminders

We will be out of school on November 11th as well as November 23rd until November 27th, if you need childcare during that time please let Ms. Wanda and Ms. Shirley know as soon as possible. We will return to school November 30th.

During the month of November, both Pre-K classrooms will be active in helping our community. From November 3rd until November 20th we will be having Jar Wars where each classroom competes to bring the most pennies in to be donated for Toys for Tots.

Pre-K B will be having a Thanksgiving luncheon on November 20th at 10:30. We have a party sign-up sheet posted at the classroom entrance for all to sign up to bring something. We welcome all to attend!

If you have any empty ice cream containers, ice cream scoops, empty food containers, paper or eco-friendly grocery store bags, coupons, or pumpkins that you would not mind allowing the class to use, please feel free to donate them.

Reminders

September 22nd was the first day of Fall, and with it the cool weather is coming. Please keep this in mind, don't forget to pack a jacket as it is quite cool when we go outside at 9:20.
We will be out of school October 12th and 13th. If you need childcare on the 13th please let Ms. Wanda or Ms. Shirley as soon as possible. We will return back to school on October 14th.
Our Fall Festival is coming up on October 29th in the evening. We do ask that each family donate one two-liter soda and one bag of candy. We invite all to come and participate in the fun and games of the event. Costumes are optional to wear, we hope to see you there!

If you have any magazines, empty shampoo bottles, envelopes, shower caps, or stamps that you would not mind allowing the class to use, please feel free to donate them. If there are any other items you would wish to donate to the school, all donations are welcomed to be deposited in the Pre-K Donation Bucket

Reminders

On the 22nd of this month we will be going on a Field Trip to the Centerville Fire Station on Osigian Blvd. We will need all field trip forms returned to school if you wish for your child to attend. On this field trip we will tour the fire station and a smoke house. During the smoke house portion of the field trip, fire safety will be discussed and the children will practice low crawling out of the room. All students who will be participating in the smoke house portion of the field trip must be wearing non-heeled shoes and shorts or pants on the day of the field trip.
On September 11th at 2:15 we will be having a September 11th Send Off in the afternoon in remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001. Any family members who wish to be present during this event are more than welcome to attend.

If you have any magazines, wet wipes, backpacks, leashes, or apples that you would not mind allowing the class to use, please feel free to donate them. If there are any other items you would wish to donate to the school, all donations are welcomed to be deposited in the Pre-K Donation Bucket.

Reminders

We do understand that many of you wish that your children reflect positively in the way that you dress them, but please understand that it is important to take their safety into consideration. Flip-flops and dress shoes on the playground can lead to accidents as well as clothing items with drawstrings can get caught on objects. We will do our best with your help to keep your child safe throughout their school day!

End of the Year

We will be having a celebration on our last day of school; our theme is Happily Ever After Pre-K. For our fairy tale party, we ask that the boys come that day in white button-up shirts with black slacks, and the girls to come in a pastel, single-colored summer dress.
The event will begin at 10:00, we will have a R.S.V.P. sheet at the entrance of the classroom so we may get a head count to know how many chairs we will need for the event.

Mother's Day Story

Friday, May 8th at 2:15 we will be reading a special story for our classroom parents. All who wish to attend are more than welcome to be there, It's Going to be Perfect!

Parent Conferences

We have a signup sheet posted at the class entrance to sign up for Parent Conferences to discuss progress reports. If you cannot make any of the posted times, please let Ms. Carolyn or Ms. Megan know so that we may accommodate your needs.

Field Trips

We will be going to Matt Arthur Elementary School on May 11th to become familiar with the school setting your children will be entering next year in kindergarten. If you have not yet enrolled your child in a kindergarten program, now is the time.

Summer is almost here; once June begins our school year will be over. If you need childcare during the summer time, please let Ms. Wanda or Ms. Shirley know as soon as possible. Children’s Friend offers a summer program for school age students. The summer program this year is Under the Sea.
On May 8th, we will be having a read in for all parents who wish to attend. End of the Year

With each passing day we are getting closer to the end of Pre-K and the beginning of kindergarten! We will be having a celebration on our last day of school; our theme is Happily Ever After Pre-K. We will provide the rest, we have had a wonderful year and look forward to sending it off with fun!

Volunteers & Photographers

For all who have signed up to assist Field Day as a volunteer or a photographer, we will be having a short meeting on Thursday, April 23rd to discuss and prepare for the following day. The meeting will be at 2:45 and will be brief. If you cannot make the meeting, please let Ms. Megan or Ms. Carolyn know so that we may fill you in. Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Field Trips

We will be going on a field trip April 21st to the Fire Station in Centerville on Osigian Blvd. We need all students who will be participating in the smoke house portion of the field trip to have filled out their permission forms. Students wearing flip-flops, dresses, skirts, or sandals will not be able to participate in the smoke house tour for safety reasons.

Week of the Young Child

April 20th-24th is the Week of the Young Child and we will be celebrating it everyday that week in our classroom. Monday we will begin with Career Day, all students may dress as what they want to be when they grow up. Tuesday we will be taking a field trip to the fire station, make sure all permission slips are returned if you wish for your child to tour the smoke house. Wednesday is Earth Day; we will discuss our environment and things we can do to help preserve it. Thursday is our EDIMGIAFAD (Every Day In Middle Georgia Is Armed Forces Appreciation Day) celebration, you may dress in camouflage to show support for our troops. Friday is Field Day; we have a sign up list at the classroom entrance for anyone willing to assist in the events. We ask that each child bring one white t-shirt to decorate to wear for Field Day by April 21st. The Field Day events on Friday will begin at 9:05. Anyone interested in attending Field Day are welcome to attend.
